Donald is one of the most renown Information Technology leaders in the gaming industry. Mr. Kneisel was recruited by Dennis Gomes to join Gomes Gaming Management in November 2007. He added more than three decades of IT casino and hospitality expertise - including over 25 years in the gaming industry - to the executive team.
Most recently, Mr. Kneisel was the corporate Vice President of Information Technology at Tropicana Casinos and Resorts in Crestview Hills, KY where he oversaw the consolidation of technology for 13 casinos both in the US and abroad. Previously, Mr. Kneisel, under Dennis Gomes, was the head of Information Technology for Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, NJ - a position he held for 13 years. There he was instrumental in ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley, Payment Card Industry and regulatory compliance; was the project manager for the industry’s first implementation of customer self service kiosks, now a standard in the industry; and built the contraption for Dennis Gomes’ famous Tic Tac Toe playing Chicken.
He received his Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1996 and his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1984. In addition to his extensive corporate experience, Mr. Kneisel has taught hospitality courses at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, is a member of the School of Hospitality Management Technology Advisory Board for Pennsylvania State University, and also participates on the Advisory Board for Gaming & Leisure Magazine.
Mr. Kneisel lives in Southern New Jersey with his wife and three children.
